Greatest Hits Radio will introduce a new Saturday show in Paul Gambaccini’s slot as Stephanie Hirst moves to the main station from 7th March.
Spinnin’ the Decades will air from Saturday 7th March, bringing Stephanie’s Spinnin’ format from Greatest Hits Radio 60s to a wider audience.
The programme will feature hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s, with a dedicated hour for live listener requests played from original 45 pressings taken from Stephanie’s personal vinyl collection in real time. She will also share rarities and lesser-known tracks alongside established hits from the three decades.
The launch follows confirmation that America’s Greatest Hits with Paul Gambaccini will end on Saturday 28th February. Stephanie said: “What an incredible honour it is to follow in the footsteps of one of my broadcasting heroes, Paul Gambaccini. I’m going to do my very best to produce a show that Paul – and more importantly his music-loving America’s Greatest Hits audience – will love.”
She added: “I also can’t wait to share my passion for vinyl with listeners to Greatest Hits Radio.”

Spinnin’ The Decades with Stephanie Hirst will be on Greatest Hits Radio from 4-7pm every Saturday 7th of March as well as on the Rayo App.
