Radio stations using Myriad will soon be able to download newly released music directly inside the playout system.
Broadcast Radio has partnered with Promo Only to integrate the music service into Myriad Playout and the Automation Import Wizard, allowing stations to browse, preview and download tracks without leaving the software.
The new feature gives stations with a Promo Only subscription direct access to daily music releases from within Myriad.
Users can filter songs by genre or mix type, preview tracks and select multiple downloads in one operation before importing them straight into the system.
Once selected, Myriad automatically processes the audio for broadcast. Tracks are downloaded with metadata and artwork applied, ISRC codes included where available, and silence removed from the start of the file.
The software also normalises audio levels using station presets and sets the Extro time before adding the track to the Myriad Media Library.
Promo Only provides radio stations with subscription access to newly released music, including chart tracks and specialist genres such as rock and country.
The service offers different edits including clean radio versions and extended mixes, alongside high quality audio formats including WAV.

The integration will be included in Myriad Playout and Automation version 6.9, which is due to enter beta testing soon.
