Gaydio opens new Manchester studios for 20th anniversary
Gaydio has opened new studios in Manchester, placing the station at the heart of the city’s LGBTQ+ community.
The facility overlooks Manchester’s Gay Village and features three fully visualised studios, allowing the station to expand video content and deepen engagement across digital platforms.
The move is the largest single investment in Gaydio’s history, funded through The Big Issue Investment Fund, Warner Music Group, OVO Energy and internal resources.
A central part of the new HQ is the Gaydio Academy, providing training, mentoring and hands-on experience to support emerging LGBTQ+ broadcasters and creatives. The academy’s aim, is to help people build careers in media using industry-standard equipment.

Kriss Herbert-Noble, Gaydio’s Network Content Director, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be opening these new studios in such an iconic location for our community, especially as we celebrate 20 years of Gaydio.
“This investment is about the future, giving our audiences more ways to connect with us through fully visual content.”
The station says the move reflects its commitment to innovation, representation and community impact, while also supporting a new management team and full-time roles across content and commercial teams.
