Alan Brazil has told listeners that a recent operation saved his life after being absent from his talkSPORT Breakfast Show for a few weeks.
In a message posted on social media today, Alan said: “Some of you will have noticed that I’ve not been around. I recently had a life-saving operation and I’m deeply grateful to the brilliant medical team who have looked after me.”
He said it would be some time before he was fully back to himself and that he is focusing on recovering in private.
Alan also thanked his family and those close to him for their support during his time away from the station.
He ended his update with a brief message to listeners: “I’ll see you all soon.”
Alan has hosted talkSPORT’s Breakfast Show for more than 25 years since the station launched.
