Kelly Rowland, Wretch 32, Nero, Chase & Status, Jessie J, Dappy, Labrinth, Tinchy Styder and more will be part of the tour which visits Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and London.

Kelly Rowland performed at the first ever 1Xtra Live event in Coventry in 2008 and she’s returning to headline the final date of the tour at London’s Brixton Academy on Thursday 1st December.

The event was announced by Kelly live on air with Chris Moyles and 1Xtra’s Twin B in a special simulcast broadcast on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra this morning.

Kelly Rowland said: “I loved performing at the first ever 1Xtra Live four years ago and I’m really happy to be headlining the final date of this incredible event. There’s so much amazing talent on the line-up and I’m proud to be part of it”.

Ben Cooper, newly appointed Controller, BBC Radio 1Xtra said: “These are the most ambitious live music events that 1xtra has ever staged. We hope to connect with as many of our listeners as possible, whether they’re at the gigs, listening to the radio or watching online, it’s a big moment for us to celebrate what the station stands for – the very best in urban music and fresh new talent”.

It’s the fourth consecutive year for BBC Radio 1Xtra Live and it will simulcast on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra and broadcast on the red button every evening from 7pm to 11pm.

Each day Tim Westwood will start the party by broadcasting his 1Xtra show live from a local college between 4pm and 7pm. The following morning from 7am to 10am 1Xtra Breakfast Show host Twin B will reflect on the previous night’s proceedings live from each city.

Twin B said: “I can’t wait to get out on the road with some of the best artists around and meet the 1Xtra listeners. Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and London here we come!”
