Bauer Media’s Inverness radio station MFR has been awarded the Gaelic Broadcasting award for their Bi-lingual Scottish Chart Show.
The awards recognise media excellence in the Highlands and Islands.
The show is produced by MFR in partnership with MG ALBA, and aimed at 15-24 year old’s showcasing the Gaelic Language within a chart show formula. It’s also produced for broadcast on Isles FM, Two Lochs Radio, Cuillin FM, Argyll FM and Nevis Radio.
Davey D and Roya MacLean, presenters of the show collected the award. Davey D said: “We are delighted with this award. The show is very much in its infancy and has only been broadcasting for five months. It is a great achievement for us at MFR and the radio stations that also broadcast the show.”
Danny Gallagher, Managing Director at MFR said: “I’m absolutely thrilled and delighted for the guys on the show, especially Roya who hadn’t presented before this opportunity came up. A special mention must go to MG ALBA, without their partnership it simply would not have happened.”
