The departure of Metro Radio’s commercial director Matty Bromham has triggered a few changes at Bauer Media in the Northeast.
TFM Radio’s Lesley Kerrison takes over at Metro, whilst CFM’s Pauline Peniche joins the team on Teesside.
Matty Bromham leaves Metro after 15 years working at both TFM and Metro. He started his career as a sales executive at Metro in 1997, moving to TFM as sales director in 2006. Matt then returned to Metro in 2010 as sales director.
Lesley Kerrison will take up the commercial director’s position at Metro whilst Pauline Peniche moves from Carlisle.
Cath Ellington, regional managing director, says: “Both of these stations have consistently delivered great results for our group, even in in the recent tough economic climate. I have every confidence that these new appointments, backed by the great teams we have at each station, will continue to deliver strong profit growth in the future.”
Lesley Kerrison said: “Metro Radio is one of the country’s great heritage stations and I have a real sense of pride in taking on this new challenge. I’m really passionate about radio and the creativity that the teams we have can deliver for clients. With the new Steve and Karen breakfast show launching on Metro soon, there couldn’t be a better time to be joining.”
Pauline Peniche said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time at CFM; the station is now in great shape and punching well above its weight across traditional and non-traditional revenue areas. I’ve worked with many of the staff at TFM so it’ll be great to get re-acquainted and harness their knowledge and experience in this market.”
