The former Mayor of London Ken Livingstone is returning to LBC to co-host the Saturday morning programme with David Mellor.
The pair will be re-united this Saturday 12th May and will co-present their programme each week from 10am to 1pm.
Ken originally joined LBC 97.3 in 2008 to host his own Saturday show. Two years ago, he teamed up with David Mellor and in March this year, Ken stepped down from the programme in order to concentrate on the London Mayoral elections. The former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith has been co-presenting the show with David Mellor in Ken’s absence.
Ken Livingstone said: “I can’t wait to get back into the studio and my Saturday morning riff with David Mellor.”
Global Radio’s Director of Broadcasting Richard Park said: “After eight years as Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone knows the city and its people inside out. Nobody is better placed to debate the issues that matter to London and we look forward to welcoming him back to LBC 97.3 on Saturday mornings.”
