80s singers Tony Hadley, Nik Kershaw and Carol Decker have all signed up to present shows for Absolute Radio’s digital station playing music from the decade.
Former Spandau Ballet frontman Hadley will host an 80s Party on Saturday nights from 21st July, while Kershaw joins the station for a month to present an hour each Sunday evening through July.
T’Pau lead signer Carol Decker takes charge of the ‘80s Rewind Preview show’ on Friday 17th August 7-11pm, where we’re told she’ll look forward to the Rewind Festival in Henley-on-Thames that weekend, playing music from and interviewing some of the artists who’ll be appearing.
Tony Hadley said: “It’s really exciting to be back on the radio with ‘Tony Hadley’s 80s Party’ especially as I’m already a big fan of Absolute 80s. Expect some revealing stories, some fun and some great music!”
Absolute Radio’s Content Director, Tony Moorey told RadioToday.co.uk: “Three big shows with three 80s stars loved by our listeners. It’s great to be expanding Absolute 80s’ schedule with talent that contributed some of the biggest hits of the decade.”
