GCap Media is to close digital only station Capital Disney. A statement was read-out on-air just before 8am today by presenter Matt James. The last day of live broadcasting will be Friday 1st June, with non-stop music continuing till 29th June.
The statement is available on the Capital Disney website, which states owners GCap Media and the Walt Disney Company have now agreed to pursue their interests separately.
The station launched five years ago and is currently home to presenters Matt James (breakfast), James Beckingham (Afternoons) and Saffron (Drivetime).
