Former Head of Systems Development for BBC Technology Kieran Harvey is joining Global Radio as its Director of Broadcast Technology & IT.
Kieran will report into Global Group CEO Stephen Miron with this newly created role, and be responsible for all of Global’s Broadcast Operations, Engineering, IT and Business Systems.
He’s worked in a variety of roles since 1997 at the BBC, most recently as the Head of Systems Development for BBC Technology, with responsibility for a range of in-house Broadcast, Production & Business systems, including the delivery of the Journalism Portal. Prior to this, Kieran worked as Technology Development Manager for BBC Wales and was also the Technology Lead in the BBC’s Future Media & Technology department.
On joining Global, Kieran said: “Radio has a special place in my heart and my role is about how technology can deliver Global’s great brands and content. The recent successful launches of Capital TV & Heart TV in addition to the range of online content has demonstrated Global’s potential in the multi-media world.
