A new contract between the BBC and Middlesbrough Football Club means the station will continue to provide commentary.
Breakfast Show presenter Ali Brownlee is looking forward to many more stints on the terraces after commentating on his 1500th Boro game last season.
He said: “It is terrific news that we will continue to cover every Boro game on BBC Tees, and hopefully we will be able to provide commentary on a Boro promotion back into the Premier League in the near future!
“Following Boro is a true labour of love for our commentary team and we try to reflect in our commentaries the passion that all Boro fans feel for their football club.”
The station’s co-commentator is former Boro player Craig Hignett and touchline reporter Mark Drury completes the matchday team.
BBC Tees acting station editor Dan Thorpe said: “We are delighted to confirm that BBC Tees will be the home of Middlesbrough commentary for the next three years. We know it’s a service highly valued by many of our listeners.”
