Metal Hammer Editor gets TeamRock show

Metal Hammer Editor in Chief, Alexander Milas is to present the Metal Hammer Magazine Show each weeknight on TeamRock Radio.

The national station will fully launch on DAB next month and is putting the finishing touches to its schedule.

Mid mornings will be hosted by Rachel Houghton aka Miss Rach. Rachel has spent the last four years at Real XS in Manchester.

‘Breaking Bands’ will become a two hour daily show from midnight featuring new unsigned bands and emerging talent, hosted by Sophie K (Kostrowski).

Finally, Pete Bailey, previously at Q Radio, will host overnights.

Alexander, who previously hosted the same show on Rock Radio, said: “We’re planning the Letterman of radio programmes. Think Peel meets PBS with a David Lee Roth soundboard and you’re halfway there. We’ll be talking to artists, industry and most importantly fans to a soundtrack of unsigned and major world-beating acts that make metal the firebreathing monster it is today. Horns up!”
