Dave Shearer, currently programme director at Wave 105 is leaving the Bauer station to join GMG Radio to cover maternity leave at Century Radio.
Dave will look after programming at Century Radio based in Manchester whilst current programme controller Sarah Graham takes maternity leave.
The move sees a return for Dave to the northwest, having previously worked at Century FM whilst owned by GCap Media, and local stations Red Rose Gold and Radio City. Whilst at Wave 105, he won Programmer of the Year at the recent European Radio Awards in Barcelona.
