GCap Media, owners of Xfm stations in London, Manchester and Scotland have signed a major six-figure deal with mobile phone operators Orange, in partnership with Viacom Brand Solutions and IPC ignite.
Together they will promote gigs and tours available to Orange customers in advance of tickets going on general release.
The three big names have come together to form the RSVP consortium, and the new agreement with Orange launches next week and runs for 13 weeks. It will incorporate a fully integrated campaign on Xfm, Xfm.co.uk, NME.com and in NME Magazine and will feature all media partners offering the opportunity for their listeners/readers to get more access to gigs across the UK.
Xfm activity will run across 3 of their stations in the UK (excluding the 'for sale' south Wales station) and is integrated in the Live Hour show every Sunday from 8-9pm from 25th May.
The deal was conceived and negotiated by Lauren Stone and Michelle Faiman from GCap Media, Sophie Ewen on behalf of RSVP, Jonathan Boakes from IPC, and Florence Dettwiler from i-level, as well as Zara Jane Cobb and Katherine Charalambous from Initiative.
Sophie Ewen commented “Dedicated music brands such as Xfm and NME have worked closely with gigs and tours from Orange to build on the relationship that our brands have with their audiences and their love of music.”
FYI: RSVP refers to Real Sound, Vision & Print. This reflects the three partners and their objective to respond to a client/agency brief, devising the most effective solutions for customers using the most relevant media.
