Ofcom receives 48 licence bids

Community Radio is continuing to develop in the UK with 48 applications being submitted to Ofcom to operate such stations in the East and South East of England.

All the applications will be published online shortly, from groups in the East and South of East England (excluding Greater London and other areas within the M25) wanting to win a five year FM (or medium wave) licence.
They range from hsopital broadcasters wanting to serve the larger community, through to universities, minority groups and students.
