New 80’s Heaven station set for launch by Shaun Tilley

A new online station dedicated entirely to 1980s music will launch on Saturday 31 January, bringing together well-known DJs and presenters from the era.

80’s Heaven will feature former Radio 1 and Radio Luxembourg names including Adrian Juste, Emperor Rosko, Dixie Peach, Neale James, Paul Jordan, Graham Bannerman, Howard Pearce, Tim Smith, Mike Hollis, Tony Blewitt, Alton Andrews, Nik Martin and Shaun Tilley, who is also Programme Director.

The schedule also includes 80s Music TV presenters Nino Firetto, Steve Blacknell and Martin Buchanan, alongside Gavin McCoy, Tony West, Dave Asher, Opal Bonfante and Dutch broadcaster Rob de Mink.

Rosko said he was “pleased as punch to be part of the 80’s Heaven team”, adding that returning to his original Saturday midday slot would allow him to revisit the music he played throughout the decade.

Adrian follows at 1pm with a show featuring comedy clips and his chosen favourites, saying the station will be “full of surprises”. Dixie Peach said the playlist would stretch into the thousands to set the station apart.

Shaun said the team share a long-standing connection with the music of the period and believe there is room for a high-energy service focused solely on the decade.

The station will stream at 80sheaven.co.uk, on its mobile app, TuneIn and via Alexa. A special launch show at 9am on 31 January will include contributions from the full line-up and messages from 1980s artists.
