From Japanese Radio to the UK Charts: Inessa Lee’s Pride Anthem is Global

“Love Gun” by Inessa Lee has emerged as one of 2025’s standout queer power anthems, lighting up dance floors across the UK.

Before climbing to No. 5 on the Music Week Club Chart, the song received heavy rotation on Japan’s InterFM radio and broke into Spotify Japan’s Top 10. Early radio exposure helped the track go viral, and “Love Gun” has now surpassed 2.5 million streams worldwide, with all proceeds donated to educational charities in Nairobi, Kenya.

The EDM single quickly evolved into a cornerstone of anti-bullying efforts, gaining support from global influencers and the LGBTQ+ community. Inessa Lee partnered with IFERS Music, a charity co-founded by Quincy Jones, to launch the Love Gun for Peace flash mob. Influencers participating in the campaign shared videos of themselves dancing to “Love Gun”, uniting around a shared mission to combat online aggression on social media.

Behind the anthem’s success lies a darker story. Inessa Lee says the song and the flash mob were inspired by a troubling experience of online harassment. Reportedly, the singer was targeted by former Broadway actress Jasmine Amy Rogers and her associates. This campaign of online aggression ultimately shaped the empowering message behind “Love Gun”.

Building on her peace and pride initiatives, Inessa Lee has also launched a free “Anti-Bullying AI Counselor” in collaboration with IFERS Music. The ChatGPT-based tool provides victims of harassment with practical guidance and emotional support. Available at antibully.ifers.org, the AI counselor offers step-by-step advice on documenting and reporting abuse, along with stress-management techniques such as breathing exercises, art therapy, and positive affirmations. IFERS is currently gathering user feedback and plans to expand the tool’s features, with a dedicated anti-bullying mobile app expected to launch soon.
