Broadcaster Paul Burnett joins 80s Heaven schedule line-up
Paul Burnett is the latest broadcaster to join 80s Heaven to present two weekly shows from early April.
The former Radio 1 presenter joins the online station’s growing line-up, with his first show airing on Saturday 4 April at 11am, followed by a second programme each Monday at 4pm.
Both shows will be repeated during the week and made available on the station’s listen again Mixcloud channel, extending access for audiences beyond the live broadcasts.
Programme Director Shaun Tilley said: “Paul was still a very popular Radio 1 DJ during the era and hosted the weekly chart on BBC World Service for the entire decade. He loves the music and will be a strong addition to our line-up.”
80’s Heaven, which launched at the end of January, already features several former Radio 1 and Radio Luxembourg presenters, positioning itself around familiar voices from the decade.
The station is also updating its schedule from Monday 30 March with additional programming. This includes a weekday Golden Hour between 9am and 10am, hosted by former Key 103 and BRMB presenter Mark Williams.
Further shows are being added for Neale James, Paul Jordan, Martin Buchanan and Alton Andrews as the station continues to expand its output.
