MIX 92.6 launches fuel price checker to help drivers save money
Community station MIX 92.6 has launched a new online fuel price checker designed to help Hertfordshire drivers find the best petrol and diesel prices in their area.
Using data regularly updated by local petrol stations, the free tool allows motorists to compare prices across nearby forecourts and see league tables showing where fuel is cheapest.
Station Manager Nick Hazell said: “Our research has identified price differences of more than 10p per litre within just a five-mile radius in parts of Hertfordshire.
“We wanted to create a simple way for local people to get the best possible deal without having to drive long distances.”
The fuel price checker uses official data collected by the UK Government, which petrol stations are legally required to keep up to date.
Mix 92.6 is also broadcasting regular on-air fuel price updates to help listeners stay informed about costs at the pumps.
