Walsall will gain a new local radio service when Devote Radio launches on Small Scale DAB this month.
The station will officially go live on Friday 29 May 2026, with a schedule built around contemporary music, presenter led shows and specialist programmes for Walsall and the surrounding area.
Devote Radio says its output will include live daytime and evening shows, with a focus on personality led radio, music discovery and community engagement.
The station has also been building an online news and editorial platform ahead of launch, including three weekly blogs, widening its offer beyond the live radio service.
Reece Badland, Operations Director of Devote Radio, said: “The station has been built around fresh music, personality-led broadcasting and creating opportunities for new and existing talent to be heard across Walsall and beyond.”
Founded in November 2025, Devote Radio has spent recent months developing its broadcast infrastructure, training presenters and preparing its content output before going live.
Listeners will be able to hear the station on Small Scale DAB in Walsall, as well as online through mobile and smart speakers.
