Radio show Stereo Underground is moving into live events with a Hampshire music night headlined by The Vapors.
The radio and television show will stage Stereo Underground Live at The Concorde Club in Southampton on Saturday 30 May, marking its first live experience for listeners and viewers.
Stereo Underground was previously carried on a network of BBC stations for 10 years before becoming an independent production in 2024. Since then, the programme has expanded across different platforms, including Mixcloud and a daily national television version on Rewind TV via Freeview and Sky.
Development producer Sabina Latto said the team was “delighted to bring a specially curated live music experience” to the show’s audience after its move into new formats.
Host Richard Latto said the event would bring together the Stereo Underground community around indie, new wave, punk and alternative music.
Richard added: “It’s thanks to the support of the passionate audience that the programme keeps growing and we can now begin to offer live events alongside our radio, television and online offerings.”
The night will also include DJs and what Richard described as “a few surprises”, along with stories from the journey of Stereo Underground.
