Music industry parents can apply for help with summer childcare, day trips and school uniform costs.
The PRS Members’ Fund has opened applications for Summer Support 2026, aimed at parents and guardians working in the music industry.
The initiative is designed to help with extra costs during the school holiday period, when work commitments and childcare can become harder to manage.
PRS says some members have reported reducing or stopping work during the summer break because of childcare pressures, creating gaps in income and added financial strain.
Support available includes up to two weeks of childcare costs, with a maximum of £500, to help parents continue working.
Families can also apply for up to £150 towards a summer day trip for a family of four, as well as help with school uniform costs.
The uniform support is worth up to £250 for secondary school children and up to £150 for primary school children. Funding may also be available to help cover increased costs over the summer period.
Applicants must have been PRS members for seven years or have earned £500 in royalties. Parents or guardians will need to provide evidence of child benefit, along with confirmation of holiday club bookings and school uniform lists where relevant.
Applications close on 4 September 2026. More details are available at website.
