AudioUK has confirmed Amazon Music will continue supporting the APAs’ Pay What You Can scheme for the 2026 awards.
The initiative offers free or discounted entry to the Audio Production Awards for people who would otherwise be unable to take part because of financial constraints.
Introduced in 2021, the scheme aims to remove financial barriers and improve access across the podcast and audio sector.
Sponsored by Audible and organised by AudioUK, the 2026 APAs 2026 include 30 categories, with six new additions.
New honours include International Breakthrough Award, Executive Producer of the Year, Experimental Sound Design and Best Use of Video. Non Fiction Audiobook and Ensemble Cast also become standalone categories for the first time.
AudioUK Chief Executive Chris Baughen said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Amazon Music for continuing to support the Pay What You Can scheme. At AudioUK, we’re committed to ensuring that financial circumstances never prevent great work from being recognised.”
