Classic FM Live returns to Royal Albert Hall

Classic FM will stage its flagship concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Monday 12 October, with a programme themed ‘Out of this World’.

Featuring music inspired by space, time, magic and fantasy, Classic FM Live with Viking: Out of this World, will showcase the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Stephen Bell, with presenters Dan Walker and Myleene Klass hosting the evening.

Soloists include bass-baritone Sir Willard White, tenor Emmanuel Fonoti-Fuimaono and pianist Junyan Chen, performing works such as Holst’s The Planets Suite, Strauss’ Sunrise from Also sprach Zarathustra, Dukas’ The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Bizet’s Pearl Fishers Duet and the finale of Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.3.

The concert is supported by Viking, a long-term partner of Classic FM, which has presented Classic FM Live for 11 years.

Joseph Zubier, Classic FM’s Managing Editor, said the event is about bringing audiences together to experience live orchestral music in an iconic venue, combining space- and time-inspired classical works with visual effects and an exceptional cast of performers.

The evening will conclude with a light show and fireworks accompanying the finale.
