Des Clarke, presenter of Heart Breakfast in Scotland, will lead a team of 50 Heart listeners and supporters at the AJ Bell Great Scottish Run 2026 in Glasgow on Sunday 4th October.
The group, known as Heart’s Half-Marathon Heroes, will run together to raise funds for Global’s Make Some Noise.
Des is encouraging more Heart Scotland listeners to join the team by signing up online, with places still available for those interested in taking part.
The event is part of Scotland’s largest running event, which attracts thousands of runners each year. Each participant in Heart’s Half-Marathon Heroes is asked to raise at least £300 for the charity.
Des, who co-hosts Heart Scotland Breakfast with Grado and Adele Cunningham, said the challenge will be tough but special, and he hopes listeners will join him to make a difference together.
Suzanne Ryder-Richardson, Director of Global Goodness, said the event is a great way to unite listeners and charity beneficiaries, with every pound raised helping to fund small charities across Scotland and the UK.
Digby Brown, a specialist personal injury law firm, is supporting Heart’s Half-Marathon Heroes for the third consecutive year.
