Former Manx Radio presenter and journalist Paul Moulton says he was told to leave the station shortly after being interviewed about his 50-year broadcasting career.
Paul recently visited the station for an interview with former MHK and broadcaster Phil Gawne, discussing his long history in the industry.
Talking to Isle of Man Today, Paul told the newspaper that the conversation ended abruptly when another staff member instructed him to leave the building just minutes after the interview concluded.
Audio from the incident, reviewed by Isle of Man Today, reportedly captures Paul being told to “get lost” and that he should not be in the building.
Paul later said he was stunned by the situation, initially thinking it was a joke. Phil, who conducted the interview, witnessed the incident and later apologised to Paul by email, expressing his own shock at what happened.
Paul’s association with Manx Radio began when he moved to the Isle of Man at age 13, eventually leading to roles in sports programming and as a station assistant.
He has previously criticised the station’s direction, arguing it has shifted away from traditional speech-based content and called for a stronger mix of news, discussion, and music.
