Phil Hoyles is joining Angela Jay to present Nation Radio’s new weekday breakfast programme across Wales.
The Big Welsh Breakfast launches on Monday 7 September and will be broadcast each weekday between 6am and 10am.
Angela has previously presented the early morning programme alone and has known Phil since the beginning of their radio careers.
She said: “It feels pretty special to now be doing breakfast together for the whole of Wales. I honestly can’t wait to wake up Wales together and have some fun along the way.”
Phil said the programme would feature more Welsh voices, with listeners becoming more involved in the show.
He added: “I can’t wait to get started, working with Angela, who’s one of the loveliest people in radio.”
Phil joined Nation Broadcasting in 2023 after previously presenting on Swansea Sound and Greatest Hits Radio South Wales. His work outside radio has included programmes for ITV Wales and Bay TV, an appearance in the BBC Two Wales comedy The i Word and a touring stage tribute to Tommy Cooper.
