Radio X is adding Steve Jones to its weekend schedule, with a new Sunday morning show starting on 4th October.
The Welsh broadcaster and former T4 presenter will be on air between 8am and 11am each Sunday.
Steve, who is known for his television presenting work on Channel 4’s T4, will host the three hour programme featuring the station’s mix of indie, rock and alternative music.
Speaking about his new role, Steve said: “I’ve been listening to Radio X since day 1 because it’s got the trifecta that all radio stations aim for.”
He added that he was looking forward to getting started on Sunday mornings, joking that the whole thing might turn out to be a fevered cheese dream.
Radio X Managing Editor Matt Deverson welcomed the appointment, highlighting Steve’s broadcasting experience, interest in music and sense of humour.
Matt said: “He’s an accomplished broadcaster with a real passion for music, and his humour and personality make him a perfect fit for the station.”
The new programme begins this Sunday, 4th October, at 8am.
