Lomond Christmas has returned to DAB with an ad free mix of festive music for listeners across parts of western Scotland.
The seasonal pop up service comes from the volunteer team behind Lomond Radio, Lomond Country and Lomond Extra, and is available on DAB Digital Radio across the Clyde Coast, North Ayrshire and Lanarkshire.
Listeners can also hear Lomond Christmas using a smart speaker, with the station promising Christmas favourites and seasonal classics without commercial breaks throughout the festive period.
Paul Lucas, Director of Lomond Radio, said: “We’re delighted to launch Lomond Christmas and bring a little extra festive cheer to our listeners. Christmas is such a special time of year, and we wanted to create a station that captures that feeling through great music and plenty of seasonal spirit.”
The service is operated by the same volunteer team responsible for the wider Lomond group of stations, covering presenting, production, technical operations and other work behind the scenes.
Paul added: “What makes the Lomond stations particularly special is that everyone involved is a volunteer. From presenting and producing programmes to the technical and behind the scenes work, our team gives their time because they love radio and want to create something that people can enjoy.”
Lomond Radio is the group’s community focused service, while Lomond Country provides country music and Lomond Extra concentrates on interviews and conversations.
