BBC Radio 5 Live presenter Nicky Campbell has said he will move with the station to Salford Quays in 2011, but ruled out living in Greater Manchester full time.
He said, in a [link=http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2009/jan/12/nicky-campbell-interview]newspaper[/link] interview, that whilst the switch to Salford was a massive positive move, he will return to his family in London at weekends.
Campbell has yet to sign a new contract with the station, but says it will tie him to the station for at least another three years. He started a new breakfast and phone-in show on the station on Monday morning.
The BBC North project will see Radio 5 Live re-locate to the new purpose built Media City UK in 2011, along with Children's Learning, BBC Sport and parts of Future Media and Technology.
