RSL to broadcast from Concorde

An internet radio station, currently operating on a four week temporary licence, is to make history by broadcasting from Concorde.

Brooklands FM presenter John Cull is claiming a radio first, when on Easter Monday he will present his live radio show from the flight deck of Delta Golf, the fastest production Concorde built and the first aircraft to carry 100 passengers at twice the speed of sound, which is now on display at Brooklands Museum.
The show is part of internet-based station Brooklands FM’s four-week broadcast on 87.7fm starting this Thursday, April 9th, at 6am, broadcasting to local towns from its studios at Cosmic Electricals in Station Road, Addlestone.
John, star of the BBC fly-on-the-wall documentary Airport and a former Qantas manager at Heathrow, says: “When I worked at the airport I always marvelled at the sight of Concorde in action and I’m thrilled to be making history on board.”
