A South Wales community radio station has pulled off a coup by signing two former Xfm South Wales presenters for its Friday afternoon Weekender slot.
Afan FM announced recently that it has secured the services of Rhys and Eggsy, better known for their antics in Goldie Lookin Chain.
The duo have an extensive background in radio, having co-hosted the popular Drivetime show on Xfm South Wales before its sale and rebrand and will join Afan FM as the presenters of “The Weekender” every Friday from 2pm.
Station Manager Hannah Lewis said “One of the highlights of Xfm’s short life was Rhys and Eggsy’s show and I’m delighted that they have agreed to join us and kick off the Neath & Port Talbot weekend each and every Friday – I couldn’t think of a better pair to do it!”
The Rhys and Eggsy coup follows on from Afan's recent signing of dance DJs Jamie Duggan and H-Two-O.
