Real look for Bon Jovi warm-up

Real Radio in the North West are offering a band from the region the chance to support rock giants Bon Jovi when their tour comes to Manchester next month.

The station is asking local acts to put themselves forward to be shortlisted for the once-in-a-lifetime chance of the big time.

Bands from across the North West are submitting audio, pictures, and links to YouTube videos via the station's website. Several finalists will then be picked for a 'play off' performance later this month, with the winner opening the show on Bon Jovi's Circle Tour at Old Trafford Cricket Ground on 24th June.

The band's lead singer Jon Bon Jovi said: "Every kid that picks up a guitar dreams of playing on the big stage in front of a huge crowd. I was that kid years ago."

Dave Shearer, programme director for Real Radio North West told us: "This is an incredible opportunity for a band from the northwest to fast track into the world of the superstars and Real Radio are proud to be a part of it. Playing to a potential audience of 50,000 rock fans is the stuff dreams are made of and who knows where the winner will go from here."
