BBC Radio 1 presenter Matt Edmondson and his producer are the latest names added to the line-up for the nextrad.io conference taking place in the autumn.
The venue for the event has also been announced as the headquarters of the Magic Circle in central London.
Organisers James Cridland and Matt Deegan told RadioToday.co.uk that more than half of the tickets for the conference on 15 September have been sold in the three weeks since we announced the plans in our eRADIO newsletter.
The event is designed for people who like radio and want to be inspired by new ideas, and more speakers have also just been announced. As well as Radio 1’s Matt Edmondson and Chris Cox, they include The Guardian’s Head of Audio Francesca Panetta, Capital FM East Midlands PD Dick Stone, and former Radio Academy Chief Executive Trevor Dann who will speak about using archive material.
Nextrad.io also now has a headline sponsor as it partners up with Broadcast Bionics, whose ‘Innovative solutions for creative people’ slogan ties in with the theme of the one-day conference.
Matt Deegan told us: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the interest and support from speakers and sponsors and there are still some details to reveal. We’re really excited about everything we’ve got planned.”
Radio Today is proud to be supporting the event, which you can find out more about at nextrad.io.
