Steve Penk, owner of Manchester’s Revolution Radio is to operate a 28 day Restricted Service Licence in Manchester aimed at new car buyers.
Motors FM will offer participating car dealerships 56 hours of exposure each during September, with Revolution Radio running spots to convince listeners to tune in.
87.7 Motors FM will be on the air throughout the month of September and will broadcast news and features about the range of new car options available this autumn. In a series of outside broadcasts the station will showcase the region’s leading dealerships and, to complete the package, 87.7 Motors FM will play the best ‘driving anthems’ of all time.
Penk says the project came about after research clearly showed that demand existed amongst potential listeners and the motor trade alike: “We wanted to be able to do something on a whole new scale to reflect the significance of the ‘61’ plate in the car industry calendar”, explains Steve.
“87.7 Motors FM will not only be a great listen but we truly believe that the station will help
stimulate interest amongst car buyers”.
