Commercial radio is taking the first step at creating a network of chart shows which will appeal to all independent radio stations across the country.
Today The A List Chart with Baileys launched to compliment Hit40Uk (listen link available at the end of this story) across 54 AC stations (including the Heart, Real Radio and Century Networks). The show will reflect the music tastes of 25-44 year olds. Melanie Sykes and Nick Snaith present the show which is estimated to reach over 880,000 listeners each week.
Later this year, a third chart ‘Fresh40′ will launch targetting 15-24 year olds and will focus on RnB, Hip Hop and Dance music suitable for the Galaxy and Kiss networks.
Last week, Baileys signed a seven-figure deal to sponsor the show.
