European Radio Awards launched

The details of the first ever Europe-wide radio industry awards have been unveiled. Open to more than 3500 stations across the continent, there'll be 33 different awards and the 2007 winners will be announced later this year. All applications, uploading of audio and judging will be done online.

Julian Allitt, Managing Director of JazzRadio 101.9 Berlin, said: "It makes excellent sense to provide a new competition showcase of the best work by broadcasters across the European Union's diverse and dynamic radio markets. We all stand to gain from the opportunity."

Full details of how to enter, together with entry criteria and helpful hints will be posted on the European Radio Awards [link=http://www.euradioawards.com]website[/link] soon.
