Gaydar joins Manchester Pride

The Gaydar brand has signed a three year sponsorship deal with Mancheter Pride – the highlight of the gay and lesbian calendar in the city. The deal includes presenters from digital station GaydarRadio making guest appearances during the event and helping programme the stage line-up.

GaydarRadio will broadcast live from Manchester Pride on the opening day, August 24, with further inserts across Saturday and live coverage of the Parade.

Commenting on the deal, Trevor Martin, Sales and Marketing Director of QSoft Consulting, owners of the Gaydar brands, said: “Our commitment to serving the gay and lesbian community continues with this new deal which seals our ongoing support for one of the biggest and best dates in the UK Pride Calendar. Manchester wraps up yet another outstanding Pride season for us.

Andrew Stokes, Chairman of Manchester Pride, said: “We’re delighted to be working so closely with Gaydar. They share many of the same qualities that Manchester Pride possesses and help the local gay community to communicate and explore their sexuality. I’m sure it will be a very productive relationship and I look forward to working with them over the next few years.”

Manchester Pride takes place this year from August 24-27. More than 250,000 people are expected to watch the main Parade on August 25.

Both BBC Radio Manchester and RSL station Gaydio already cover the event in great depth on a local level.
