Northants creates rugby village

Northants 96 has agreed a deal with Northampton Saints not only to cover and promote the rugby club, but also create an area in the south end of the stadium to be known as Northants 96 Village. The area is used by fans prior to home games and will now feature entertainment from the radio station.

Fans will be able to look forward to additional Saints coverage from Northants 96 on air and online. The station will be providing team coverage pre and post match, as well as having regular on air appearances from some of the big names from the club. The local activity is in addition to the stations coverage of the imminent Rugby World Cup in France.

Colin Paterson, Programme Controller for Northants 96 told RadioToday.co.uk "We're delighted to be an official partner of The Saints. We know how passionate people are about The Saints and we want to make sure that the radio station shows the same enthusiasm. The football and rugby deals mean greater exposure for the radio station to follow up our success in RAJAR this year."

Earlier this month Northants 96 became the official radio station for Northampton Town football club
