Singer-songwriter Newton Faulkner has recorded an exclusive session for Virgin Radio, above the Swiss Alps in a hot air balloon.
The singer played tracks including latest single Teardrop to an audience of just thirteen people, in the sky close to the town of Gruyère.
The gig was part of a one-off ballooning event hosted by the Virgin Balloon Flights and is the first time a radio session has ever been recorded in a hot air balloon. Virgin Radio presenter Ben Jones hosted the gig for competition winners and interviewed Newton while airbourne.
Unplugged and Airborne with Newton Faulkner will be broadcast on Virgin Radio on Monday January 14th 2008 from 7pm.
