BBC Asian Network has announced a number of weekend schedule changes including a Saturday request show and extra early morning religious music.
Tommy Sandhu presents the new weekend breakfast show from 7 till 9am featuring Asian music classics, Bollywood entertainment gossip, news and sport. Tommy, a TV presenter and the former voice of Blind Date, will present on both Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Asian Network DJ and TV host Murtz presents the request show on Saturday afternoons from 2 till 5pm. The show will play the top Asian songs as requested by listeners.
Bollywood It boys Raj & Pablo present the weekend Love Bollywood show on both Saturday and Sunday.
Devotional Sounds, Asian Network's early morning religious music slot, sees minor scheduling changes with programming beginning one hour earlier at 4am and continuing until 7am.
The Sunday night Language Shows also see minor scheduling changes with the Mirpuri and Gujarati shows swapping timeslots beginning with Punjabi at 5pm, Mirpuri at 7pm, Gujarati at 9pm and ending on the Bengali show at 11pm.
