Magic presenter Dave Lee Travis has given away his beloved Cadillac on air after suggesting that the contents of his garage be used as prizes.
Dave's producer [i]Dangerous Dan[/i] then pointed out that one of Dave's prized possessions was in the garage – his vintage Cadillac Seville! DLT had little choice and agreed to give his Cadillac away – but set Magic listeners a challenge to raise ten thousand pounds for Magic's charity Cash For Kids, which helps disabled and disadvantaged children.
The car was eventually won by a listener called David from Worsley who will sell the car to fund his daughter's care as she has very severe learning, sensory and physical disabilities.
Dave Lee Travis said: “I know how generous Magic listeners are, so I had no doubt that we would reach the £10,000! I'm delighted with how David has chosen to make use of the car, I can't think of anyone who deserves it more.”
