Browning loses Heart for ITN

Heart 106.2 programme director Mark Browning has quit the London based station after seven years to join ITN On, ITN's multi-platform operation.

He joins in the newly created position of commercial director at the beginning of 2009.

Browning will be responsible in driving the development of ITN On’s business across, mobile, online and audio. ITN On has steadily increased its client base during the past few years and now has commercial agreements in place with a number of global companies including Vodafone, Orange, YouTube, MSN and Yahoo!.

Mark Browning said: “I am delighted to be joining a national brand with such an international reputation. ITN On is working with some of the leading online and mobile brands in the world, and is an outstanding example of a heritage business reinventing itself for the 21st century.

"They are very forward thinking and entrepreneurial in their approach, and I look forward to working with the team to build on their considerable successes.”

Nicholas Wheeler, managing director of ITN On said: “Being able to attract someone of Mark's calibre shows how exciting the new media sector has become. Clearly it is now being viewed as the place to be. Mark’s knowledge of lifestyle brands and the relationships with consumers will be very important in helping to take our business forward.”
