Whale goes daytime on LBC

Just three months after been fired from talkSPORT, James Whale has been unveiled as the new drivetime host of LBC 97.3

Whale spent a week on air at the station last month, and will take up his full-time role in November.

The former Metro Radio and Radio Aire presenter will replace James Hartigan and Petrie Hosken in the 4pm to 7pm weekday slot.

LBC 97.3 programme director Jonathan Richards said: "James is a quality broadcaster, a talk radio natural, who loves the medium and loves engaging with his listeners.

"He has a strong following who have been in mourning since he has been off the airwaves. LBC 97.3 is a natural home for him."
