Changes at Hereford and Worcester

Andrew Easton has taken over the afternoon show at BBC Hereford and Worcester from Phil Simpson, who is leaving radio after 10 years.

Andrew is also taking over presenting duties on the Sunday breakfast show from December, and will present his new afternoon show from studios in Hereford's Broad Street for at least three days each week. On other days he will be in Worcester.
Andrew says: "People tell me I've got a unique accent – Kiwi with a Herefordshire flavour!
"I've lived in Herefordshire for most of my life now and, although I regularly go back to New Zealand to see family, this is my home and I love it here."
James Coghill, Managing Editor, BBC Hereford and Worcester, says: "Andrew is a great talent who knows Herefordshire like the back of his hand. A big part of his new show will be exploring the local history of the area and talking to local people with fascinating stories to tell."
Other schedule changes taking place at BBC Hereford and Worcester include a new show for Toni McDonald, who will present the Sunday lunchtime programme between noon and 3.00pm, in addition to her role as breakfast travel reporter during the week.
Jason Harrold, former breakfast presenter at Red Dragon in Cardiff, takes over at Saturday breakfast and former Smooth FM presenter Mike Wyre takes over on Sunday afternoons, between 3.00 and 6.00pm.
