The Local Radio Company is [i]not[/i] in talks with UTV Radio about a possible merger, RadioToday.co.uk can reveal.
The confirmation, which comes from a top TLRC executive, is in reaction to a speculative report to the contrary which appeared in the television industy publication Broadcast.
TLRC executive chairman Richard Wheatly recently stood down from his top position at the company to take up the same role at Jazz FM, which TLRC operates on behalf of GMG Radio. A source claimed this move was indicative of further change.
