Chris Carnegy has been appointed as Managing Editor for BBC Radio Solent, taking over from Mia Costello who takes up a 12-month attachment at the BBC's College of Journalism.
The former BBC World Service reporter has held a number of positions in the radio industry around the South, including establishing Spire FM, programmer controller for 2CR and a manager at Isle of Wight Radio.
Looking forward to returning to station management, Chris said: "BBC Radio Solent is a station that really matters to its listeners, serving a region I love.
