David Lloyd heads to the BBC

Former Virgin Radio Programme Director and LBC Managing Director David Lloyd is taking on a new role as Head of Regional and Local Programmes at the BBC in Hull.

David also previously ran running two Galaxy stations in the north of England and was a Director in the Radio Authority. His new position in Hull sees him responsible for content in East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
David Holdsworth, Controller, BBC English Regions, has also appointed Stuart Thomas in the same position covering the East Midlands Region, based in Nottingham, and Jane McCloskey will be the new HRLP in the South-West, based at the BBC's broadcasting centre in Plymouth.
Stuart is an experienced and successful editorial leader who is currently the Editor of ITV's London News. His career includes spells as the Editor of LBC and of IRN News, as well as News Editor of Invicta Radio.
Jane is the current Regional Director of ITV in the West and West Country.
Announcing the appointments, BBC English Regions Controller David Holdsworth said: "These appointments bring with them a wealth of experience of senior editorial leadership and will bring new perspectives to the senior team.
"I am delighted to welcome them to the helm of English regions, home of the most popular news programmes in the UK."
