Liz and Cameron, Radio Aire's afternoon drive presenters have been replaced by Monkey Boy from the Breakfast Show.
Leeds born Rich Williams has been known as Monkey Boy for the last five years on Simon Logan’s breakfast show but he will now enjoy a lie in each weekday.
Rich said, “I’ve had a great time working with Logie and everyone on the breakfast show and although it will be sad to leave them I can’t wait to get my hands on the Home Run. Being a Leeds lad it feels great to be given the opportunity to fulfil my dream of having my own show on the station I have always listened to growing up in the city I love.”
Radio Aire Station Director Anthony Gay said “Rich’s appointment is all part of the plan to reconnect the station with the people of Leeds and I can’t think of anyone who better sums up the vibrancy and optimism of the city than Rich.”
Liz Whittaker is leaving Radio Aire to have her first child and Cameron will move to weekend breakfast.
